This year’s third-grade Exhibition of Learning comes alive with The Living Wax Museum. Students worked tirelessly on a biography project that encompassed Writing, and Reading units of study, as well as their communities using a variety of research tools to gather information. They drafted and published their biography, wrote their own speech, and chose a portrait of an influential historical figure.
Empowering students to be architects of their own learning
This academic school year warmly welcomes back the live version and virtual version of The Living Wax Museum with a rich portrayal of students’ chosen historical figure’s early life and adult life, as well as their accomplishments and impact on society. Our young biographers have studied people who have truly been architects of their own learning and have improved life and living on this planet.
Moreover, students were able to relate to and identify character traits they share with their historical figures and were empowered to share their knowledge with the community at large on Friday, April 1st, in front of the Elementary School Building.
