Basic Function and Scope:
Performs a variety of support tasks in the school to assist faculty, the Vice Principal and the Principal. Functions in the capacity of clerical support and direct monitoring of students.
Duties Performed:
- Provides learning experiences while creating an environment that is conducive to student learning and involvement;
- Assists in monitoring students as directed;
- Demonstrates appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity among individuals and strives to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning;
- Supervises children during recess, lunch or early morning periods outside;
- Supervises students in classrooms, library, theater or other areas of the building;
- Works closely with citizenship coordinators and counselors in all three schools, to discuss ways to deal with student behavior/issues;
- Proctoring examinations, ex MAP testing sessions, IB exams etc;
- Assists students with learning in small groups or one-on-one instructional sessions;
- Participates and improves professional competence through attendance of professional development events;
- Reads carefully, all related handbooks in each school, Elementary School, Middle School and the Academy, to ensure understanding of school procedures, policies, offerings etc.;
- Students' daily attendance, including monthly tardies, semester tardies, daily absences, cuts, semester absences, first and second semester seat recovery;
- In-school reflections (all day and lunch);
- Accumulate attendance reports through Skyward;
- Early dismissals and late arrivals;
- Daily morning SMS to parents;
- Assist with discipline routines, concerns, bathroom checks, and incidents;
- Responds to 2 different email accounts (academyattendance@acs.gr and your acs email account);
- Make-Up Exam Schedules;
- Yearbook Distribution.
- Locker Assignments.

Work Contacts:
Daily contacts with other school personnel including the Director of the Learning Commons, the Principal, faculty, other aides as well as parents. Daily contact with students.
Independence of Operation:
All work is monitored by the Principal/VP.
Direct contact with students to maintain order, safety and optimal learning environment. Once routine work is explained, aide is expected to work efficiently, effectively and independently to complete the tasks.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field in education;
- English proficiency is required;

Basic Function and Scope:
The Cashier/Accountant is integral to the financial operations of the school, handling all income including tuition and donations, managing daily financial transactions and records, and preparing necessary reports for regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of the school's General Ledger related to these transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Transactions and Record Keeping
- Collect and process all income for the school, including payments from parents, proceeds from student activities, and donations.
- Issue receipts, prepare deposit slips, and manage daily cash reconciliations.
- Maintain and update tuition records for all students, adjusting accounts for additional charges as needed (e.g., virtual courses, registration fees, after-school activities).
2. Billing and Invoicing

3. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare annual reports for the Tax Office.
- Ensure all financial data is ready and accurate for auditors, including information on accounts receivable, accrued liabilities, and agency funds.
4. General Ledger and Asset Management
- Regularly update and monitor the General Ledger.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash, including disbursement and replenishment.
- Maintain records for fixed assets and reconcile these with the General Ledger.
5. Communication and Collection
- Engage with parents regarding tuition balances, issuing reminders and collecting overdue payments.
- Maintain regular communication with the school's business office, parents, and external accountants.
6. Other Duties
- Assist in preparing for the upcoming school year by maintaining registration records and coordinating with administrative staff for student scheduling.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Coordinates lessons that align with grade level NGSS units and assists homeroom teachers with lab preparations, and provides support to students during class.
Description:
- Creates an interactive environment (face-2-face and virtually) that stimulates and engages student learning.
- Assists Elementary School teachers in supervision of laboratory practicals during science sessions.
- Familiar with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Creates cooperative teaching partnerships for creative STEAM lessons.
- Spearheads the first Elementary School Science Fair (face-2-face and virtually) for grades 3-5
- Sets up equipment, chemicals and supplies for science classes under the teacher's guidance or communication.
- Preparation of laboratory practicals, including set-up and breakdown as per teachers' instruction, testing such labs and equipment beforehand so as to ensure a successful learning experience.
- Ensures a safe work environment for handling chemical materials and glassware.
