On June 18, ACS Athens hosted the 5th Grade Step-Up Ceremony, marking an exciting milestone as students officially transition from Elementary School to Middle School.

The ceremony included thoughtful speeches, celebratory music, and reflections from faculty and staff — all celebrating the academic progress, creativity, and friendships built throughout the elementary years. With songs, “Forever Young” and Cold Play’s Viva La Vida, students celebrated their journey through Elementary School with a video collage of the year and looked ahead to the next chapter with confidence and excitement. In addition, two fifth graders, Olivia Georgakopoulos and Maria-Lydia Drossou, won the prestigious Areti award for their work with the White Clover Club.

This moment also honors the partnership between teachers, parents, and the school community in guiding and supporting our students on their educational path.

We congratulate our 5th graders and welcome them to the next chapter of their ACS Athens journey with open arms and high hopes.

Here’s to the Class of 2032 — onward and upward!
