Our Varsity winter season teams participated in their respective ISAA championships this past weekend: the Girls Varsity Basketball team traveled to Geneva, the Boys Varsity Basketball team traveled to Vienna and the Varsity and JV Swimming teams went to Brussels.

Our student athletes represented our school in the best possible way - on the court and in the pool as well as off the playing areas.

Our girls basketball team had a great tournament! They came home as ISAA undefeated Champions playing against Cairo American College, Vienna International School, British School of Netherlands, International School of Geneva and TASIS in the final game of the tournament. The girls were dominant throughout the entire tournament - Congratulations Jordan Lyles and Natalia Papasotiriou Chatzigianni for their All-Star nominations, to Efi Fousteri for her MVP award, all the players and their coaches.

Not far from Geneva, the boys varsity team was challenged at their ISAA championships in Vienna. A very young ACS Athens team fell short against the host school (Vienna International School), the British School of Netherlands and the International school of Geneva. Our boys finished with a win against Cairo American College and in 7th place. Congratulations to Themis Kostakis on being selected to the All-Tournament Team!

Our swimmers travelled to Brussels for their respective ISAA championships. Despite their fatigue with the early morning flight and "diving" into their competition immediately, all of them had great results - either by improving their personal best records and/or earning medals in their events. Our Varsity Girls team finished in first place while the JV Boys team finished in second place in the team standings.

Congratulations to Athina Assioura, Melanie Corby, Lily Dryden, Adrianos Machairas, Dimitri Sideridis, Berin Easley, Zefi Solomou, Celia Sakeliou, Stefanos Vranakos and Maxwell Davis for earning medals in one or multiple events.  Special shoutout to Nefeli Venetsanou and Thanasis Minogiannis for earning 4 gold medals each!
