Professional Development

Professional Development (PD) is an integral part of the ACS Athens philosophy of education. Faculty, administrators and specialists engage in continuous learning and skill building. Implementing and supporting collaborative structures that encourage faculty to share leading practice, problem solve, and expand upon their teaching methods to improve student learning is continuously in process. PD involves innovation through team teaching, a Research in Education cohort, Collaborative Learning Communities, Grade level teams, Peer classroom visitations, New Colleagues Mentor program, publications in books and journals, workshop presentations.
