Helen Maravegias began her career at ACS Athens in November of 1980 in the Principal’s Office of the Academy. During that time, she enjoyed working with talented administrators, faculty, staff and students. In 1990 she assumed the position of Assistant to the President and has held this position since then.
Ms. Maravegias was educated in the United States and has her degree from the Berkeley School of Business in New York City. Her work skills and ethics have guided her throughout her years at ACS Athens with great success.
Ms. Maravegias is married and has two daughters, both graduates of ACS Athens.
Ms. Anna (Annie) Angelidou is a Communications professional and certified TEFL/TESOL Instructor with 10 years of experience in communications, ESL, EFL teaching, SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS examination preparation, writing, translating and copy editing, and is committed to helping students prepare to become whole, compassionate, value-driven and purpose-centered individuals able to navigate themselves through an increasingly ambiguous and ever-changing world.
Ms. Angelidou was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, in the United States and is an alumna of ACS Athens.
Ms. Alexopoulos is Coordinator of Special Projects for the Office of the President.
She has earned two graduate degrees, both with high honors. Her Master of Business Administration degree was completed at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2000, and she later earned an M.Sc. in Marketing at The American College of Greece - ALBA Graduate School (2012), where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (1998).
She has 20 years work experience with industry leaders diverse fields in both in the United States and Greece (including McGraw-Hill Higher Education, The Gap Inc., Nordstrom, The American College of Greece), in areas including retail management, project management, education, marketing and communications.
She first joined the ACS Athens team in 2012. Daughter of Greek immigrants, she is a native of Chicago, IL and has lived in Greece extensively.
Ioannis Exarchou was born and raised in Athens. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He continued his studies at the same university at postgraduate level and in 2006, he earned a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Economics with distinction.
He has gained experience as a Credit Officer at major banks, as Accountant at an Insurance Company and as an Accounting Manager at a Law firm.
Ms. Lora Kordolaimi was born and raised in Athens, Greece. In 2008 she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business. During her bachelor’s degree, she studied abroad in Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia as part of the Socrates-Erasmus European student exchange program.
In 2014 and while working at ACS Athens at the same time, she completed her Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from University of Piraeus. As part of her Master's degree Ms. Kordolaimi took seminars in the United States, in Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University, Loyola University Chicago and Booth Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. Her thesis was a 5-year business plan for a private educational institute.
She joined the ACS Athens family in 2009 as the school Cashier and since 2015 she is holding the position of the Accountant.
Ms. Savvas is a Greek-American born and raised in Athens Greece. She is an ACS Athens Alumni, who graduated in 1998. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Sterling College, Sterling, KS in Communication/Theatre Arts in 2003. She began her career working at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics serving as a runner of the NBC TODAY SHOW , which was moved to Athens for the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. In this capacity, she assisted in performing different tasks for on/off TV set.
Marianna has been part of the ACS Athens family since 2006 as the Purchasing Agent / Business Office Administrative Assistant.
Aspasia Sfyri, was born and raised in Athens. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management and Banking from University of Piraeus, where she worked on various assignments on topics like accounting, Theory of Marketing and Management, Banking Theory, Investment Theory, Portfolio Management, Accounting and Auditing, Political Economy, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics. In 2013 she completed her Masters in Actuarial Science and Risk Management from University of Piraeus.
From 06/2013 till 02/2014 she worked as a budgeting and reporting assistant where she was responsible for Sales Forecasting, Budget Reporting, Data Analysis. For the period 05/2014 – 11/2016 she worked as audit assistant to an audit company. Her main responsibilities involved support to Senior Manager to the tax and audit control, review of the internal procedures and controls of the client, evaluation of the accuracy of accounts receivable and payable ledgers, creation of budget and balance sheet statements, gathering of audit paperwork based on the standard policies, establishing working relationships with company’s staff, partners and clients.
Ms. Sfyri haa been with the ACS Athens family since December 2016.
Andreas Vagelatos was born in Poros, Kefalonia. He began working at ACS Athens in 1981. He studied Public Administration in Panteion Panepistimio.
In 1998 he assumed the position of Payroll Officer in Administration and has held the position since then.
Mr. Vagelatos is married and has two children. He is president of the Federation of employees of ACS Athens since 2009.
Ms. Efthymiopoulou was born and raised in Athens, Greece, in a family of educators. She also lived in England and the USA in an international military and diplomatic environment. She has studied Law at the University of Athens, Music at the Hellenic Conservatoire and English (Linguistics Concentration) at Montgomery College, MD, USA and at the American College of Greece, Deree College. She holds a BA in English and a Degree in Piano and Advanced Theory. She also speaks French certified by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris, France.
She has worked for many years in Foreign Language and Music schools and she had been running her own Music School for seven years. She has also translated children's books from French for a Greek Publishing House. She joined ACS Athens in 2009 as a substitute teacher working closely with all three schools, as well as offices. From September 2013 to February 2014 she served as the Administrative Assistant to the Middle School Principal. Since November 2016 she has been holding the position of the Receptionist.
