We are excited to extend an invitation to ACS Athens students to participate in the Math Hub, the ACS Athens after-school home for everything mathematics!
The Math Hub Vision & Mission
Math Hub is an after-school home for everything mathematics — a place where curiosity is celebrated, challenges are welcomed, and the love of math drives everything.
Whether students want to crack tough competition problems, discover ideas their classroom hasn't touched yet, or simply spend an hour playing with mathematical puzzles and games, Math Hub was built for them. Mathematics is not just a subject — it is a way of thinking, a way of seeing the world, and one of the most powerful and enjoyable tools a student will ever have.
At ACS Athens, Math Hub brings together students from grades 2 through 10 who share one thing in common: they want more. More problems. More challenges. More of those moments when something suddenly clicks and everything makes sense. And yes — more fun. Sessions blend rigorous mathematical thinking with hands-on games, puzzles, and activities using the manipulatives and toys available in the Math Studios. Students might find themselves building geometric solids, racing through a card game that secretly teaches combinatorics, or exploring a Rubik's Cube and discovering the mathematics hiding inside it.
Supported by experienced coaches, carefully chosen materials, and a community of like-minded students who push each other to grow, Math Hub creates an environment where academic excellence and playful exploration go hand in hand. Some students compete internationally, some come to explore ideas beyond the curriculum. Some come simply because mathematics is their favourite thing to do after school.
When do Sessions take place?
Sessions take place at the end of the school day at ACS Athens from 4 pm to 5 pm. Sessions are offered in two semesters:
- First Semester Sessions: September 2026 - January 2027
- Second Semester Sessions: February 2027 - May 2027

Who can participate?
Math Hub is open to any ACS Athens student in grades 2 through 10. No tryouts. No prerequisites. Just a genuine interest in mathematics.
Math Hub is the perfect fit for students who:
- Are curious about mathematics and want to explore ideas that go beyond what is covered in class
- Love the thrill of a competition and want to train to perform at their best
- Enjoy tackling hard problems and are determined to sharpen their problem-solving skills
- Want to engage with advanced mathematical concepts at a pace that matches their drive
- Are ready to be part of a positive, collaborative, and respectful community of fellow math enthusiasts
- Want to have fun — through games, puzzles, hands-on activities and the joy of mathematical discovery
- Simply love mathematics and are looking for a stimulating space to enjoy it after school
If any of the above sounds like a student, Math Hub is the place for them.
Registration
Registration for the Math Hub Program opens on Monday, September 14th, 2026 and the registration deadline is set on Thursday, September 17th, 2026.
