Kokkinos, Andreas, Elementary OLP Specialist

Andreas Kokkinos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He holds a B.A. in Theatrical Studies from the University of Peloponnese and an M.A. in Applied and Participatory Theatre from Royal Holloway, University of London. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a drama practitioner at the elementary school of Kyveri, Argolida, where he discovered his passion for working with children.
In 2015, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue graduate studies and, upon completion, worked for three years at St. Mark’s Social Education Day Service in London. There, he received training and gained valuable experience in autism, special education, and social training. He also earned a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (autism-specific) from Pearson Edexcel, along with First Aid training. His professional experience taught him to recognize and nurture students’ unique traits, while guiding them to develop their talents through specialized, goal-oriented educational methods.
Since returning to Athens in 2020, Mr. Kokkinos has been part of the ACS Athens community. He began as a Shadow Teacher, where he focused on supporting students academically by introducing targeted strategies and interventions. He designed organizational methods to help students keep pace with classes, meet responsibilities, and strengthen skills such as concentration, participation, and multitasking. He also places great emphasis on building students’ self-confidence and social skills, fostering their personal growth alongside their academic progress. His work ethic, dedication, and belief in his students inspire them to strive for excellence both in and beyond the classroom.
In January 2021, Mr. Kokkinos joined the OLP Department as the Elementary OLP Aide. He is currently serving in his second year as the Elementary OLP Specialist.
