Fund Med Aid is one of the student clubs at ACS Athens, bringing together students interested in medicine, healthcare, and humanitarian action. The club focuses on raising awareness about volunteering opportunities and fundraising to support medical-related organizations.

Recently, Fund Med Aid welcomed Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Greece for an informative session. Representatives from MSF’s Human Resources and Communications departments met with students to share insight into the organization’s mission and work around the world.

During the presentation, students learned about MSF’s two main goals: raising awareness about humanitarian crises that often receive little media attention, and providing medical care to people affected by conflict, disaster, and inequality. The session also highlighted that MSF relies on many professionals beyond doctors, including psychologists, financial managers, and water quality experts.

A powerful video showing the challenging conditions MSF workers face while on mission made the experience especially meaningful. The session concluded with a discussion, during which students’ questions about careers and involvement with MSF were answered.

The meeting was both educational and inspiring for club members. To show appreciation and support MSF’s work, Fund Med Aid donated 250€ to MSF Greece, raised through the club’s fundraising efforts.
