There’s something special about the start of a new school year — fresh energy, new ideas, and new faces. This week, ACS Athens has welcomed 30 new faculty and staff members through our New Faculty Orientation Program, and the excitement is all around.
The program kicked off with a campus tour, where our new colleagues got their first look at the classrooms, labs, and spaces where learning and community come to life every day. It was a chance to take in the atmosphere, ask questions, and begin to feel at home.
One of the highlights so far has been an interactive workshop on change, led by President Peggy Pelonis. Thought-provoking, engaging, and practical, the session gave our faculty a space to reflect on adaptability and growth — essential for any educator stepping into a new chapter.
Presentations with principals and supervisors have helped new faculty and staff members learn about procedures, expectations, and resources, while beginning to build connections across the school.
Filled with curiosity, energy, and smiles, this orientation is a wonderful reminder of the strong and dynamic ACS Athens community.
