Recently, ACS Athens hosted a dynamic professional development session for faculty focused on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and their applications in teaching and learning. The session was led by Dr. Antonis Karampelas, who guided educators through the capabilities and instructional potential of next-generation AI tools.

Participants explored platforms such as NotebookLM and ChatGPT Plus, learning how their multimodal features—including text analysis, image interpretation, audio integration, and data-driven insights—can enrich instructional practice.

Dr. Karampelas, ACS Athens faculty and department chairperson, demonstrated practical examples of how these tools can support content creation, enhance student inquiry, streamline feedback, and personalize learning experiences. The PD emphasized ethical AI use, digital literacy, and empowering students to think critically in an AI-enabled world.

This initiative reflects ACS Athens’ ongoing commitment to innovation, continuous professional growth, and preparing students for a future shaped by technology and human creativity working together.
