Course 6: Physical Education
A course ONLY for students entering grades 10-12
Want to improve your fitness strategies this summer?
This is a blended learning course that combines face-to-face and online components. It will run for
three weeks on our ACS Athens campus.
The course will provide the opportunity for incoming or already enrolled IB students to focus on the fundamental components and principles of fitness, including competency in motor skills, movement patterns, and strategies needed to perform a variety of physical activities. Each of these areas is addressed in the American Society of Health and Physical Educators' (SHAPE America) standards, which place an important emphasis on teaching the whole student.
