The Athenian Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) held its annual induction ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, welcoming this year’s inductees with warmth and pride. Surrounded by current members and the ACS Athens community, these students were not only recognized for their achievements but also entrusted with a commitment to future impact.

As part of this esteemed society, they will have the opportunity to refine their skills, collaborate across various platforms, and leave a meaningful, lasting imprint on their school, community, and beyond.

The ceremony began with an inspiring address from a distinguished guest speaker, setting the tone for the evening. The traditional candle-lighting ceremony, a deeply symbolic ritual within the NHS, followed in the program. Each candle illuminated the core pillars of the organization: Scholarship—the pursuit of knowledge; Leadership—the ability to inspire and guide others; Service—a dedication to helping those in need; and Character—the strength of integrity and moral compass. As the inductees lit their candles, the room radiated with the collective brilliance of their accomplishments and aspirations, embodying the shared values of ACS Athens and the National Honor Society.
