ACS Athens' Aerial Drone Competition (ADC) Team just took home the Coding Award! This was the team’s very first time entering this competition, and they hit the ground running (and the sky flying!).
Competing against teams from Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, and Lithuania, the team was recognized for the quality and creativity of their programming during autonomous missions where the drones navigated entirely on their own. This demanding challenge blends engineering, coding, and real-time problem-solving, and the students tackled it brilliantly.
Huge congratulations to the dedicated students: Main Team: Jasper Hirano, Peter Dryden, Alexios Anfimiadis, Fousteri Efthymia, V.S., and Robert Ryan. Assistant Team: Leonidas Paul Lambrides, Haoming Lyu, Niko Attilakos, and Alexandros Karvounis.
A special shoutout to Sponsor Aris Thymianos, Dean Tanas and the Innovation Lab, as well as Dr. Kerkines, for supporting these innovative STEM initiatives!
