The Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle School Students (MOEMS) – Contest #1, offered by the MOEMS Foundation, took place at ACS Athens on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025.

The goal of the MOEMS competition is to spark students’ excitement for problem-solving and mathematics, broaden their understanding and application of mathematical concepts, and encourage them to think creatively in order to tackle non-routine problems. Through this experience, students cultivate a strong foundation for future assessments and lifelong success in mathematics.

ACS Athens Elementary and Middle School were proudly represented by 62 students from Grades 4–8. All student participants embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, effort, and motivation, fully engaging with the demanding but rewarding path toward becoming confident, capable problem solvers.

Congratulations to all student participants for their excellent behavior during the competition and for their effort, passion, and commitment to becoming lifelong mathematics learners. Events such as MOEMS reflect ACS Athens’ ongoing dedication to nurturing critical thinking, perseverance, and strong math foundations in every student.
