Victoria Poulou holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Mechanics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with experimental physics dissertations on "total internal reflection evanescent wave" and "spectrophotometric study of SLR digital cameras", respectively. She has contributed to the NKUA telescope observations of the 2004 Venus Transit and the 2006 Total Solar Eclipse outreach missions.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology, she is now in her second year as a Middle School Science teacher, guiding Science 7 and Science 8 students through an inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Previously, as the ACS Athens Science Lab Specialist, Ms. Poulou supported IB Internal Assessments, designed lab experiences, and mentored students in STEM initiatives such as the 2019 spACS program that launched experiments aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard. She also contributed to the K–12 Artificial Intelligence Framework as part of the ACS Athens AI Task Force. Active in the wider science education community, she has co-authored international publications and presented at conferences including the Athens Science Festival. She is dedicated to inspiring her students to see themselves as scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.
