Siamou, Anna Chrysiis, Permanent Substitute Teacher

Ms. Chrysannie (Anna Chrysiis) Siamou is a passionate educator with a background in early childhood education, literacy, and language instruction. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies and a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She also holds a Level 5 CertTESOL from Trinity College London and recently completed a certificate in Literacy Teaching and Learning: Aims, Approaches and Pedagogies through the University of Illinois.

Chrysannie has been part of the ACS Athens Elementary School community for the past two years, first serving as an Elementary School Teacher Aide. In this role, she supported students and teachers across different grade levels and contributed to a variety of classroom and school-wide needs. She also supported the Elementary School’s Literacy Support Program, providing individualized and small-group literacy instruction to students and helping them develop their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. This experience strengthened her interest in literacy education and in supporting students as they grow in confidence as readers and writers.

This year, Chrysannie joins the Elementary School as a Permanent Substitute. She looks forward to working with students across different grade levels and classrooms while contributing to a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. She is particularly interested in continuing to develop her expertise in literacy support and helping students build strong foundations in reading and writing. Chrysannie is excited to continue learning and growing as an educator within the ACS Athens community.
