Schwarz, Hannah, Faculty, 2nd Grade

Hannah Schwarz earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and is a certified Elementary and ESL teacher. Originally from Vermont, Ms. Schwarz has lived in several states along the East Coast of the United States, including Delaware, Maryland, and New Hampshire, each experience shaping her perspective and approach to teaching.
Before joining ACS Athens, Ms. Schwarz taught 4th grade for two years at a Title I school in Wilmington, Delaware, where she fostered a classroom environment rooted in respect, curiosity, and relationship building. During this time, she also served on the Educational Leadership Team, collaborating with colleagues to guide changes in practices and curriculum.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Ms. Schwarz has experience directing a nature camp for children ages 6–12, which deepened her appreciation for the natural world and strengthened her ability to share that passion with young learners. She is committed to creating a hands-on, engaging learning environment that nurtures every student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Schwarz enjoys exploring nature, art, music, and all things creative, and she often integrates these passions into her teaching. She is thrilled to be part of the ACS Athens community and looks forward to an inspiring and joyful year of learning with her students.
