Psoma, Dimitra, Faculty, Greek Language

Ms. Dimitra Psoma holds a Greek Language and Literature Bachelor’s Degree from the National University of Athens (Greece) majoring in Linguistics, and a Master of Arts in Translation from the University of New Hampshire (USA). This is her sixth year at ACS Athens.

Ms. Psoma has been teaching English and Greek to students of all levels, as well as preparing students for their university Entrance Exams for 12 years. Last year, she taught the Greek Isotimia Program at ACS Athens. This year, she is teaching Greek to elementary students from kindergarten to-5th grade and Greek 2-3 in Middle School. Ms. Psoma currently attends a 9-month seminar offered by the Aegean University under the subject: Greek as a Second/Foreign Language. Recently she has published an article in Ethos on teaching Greek to young learners in a tangible way during the pandemic, in which she will also present this approach at the Annual International Conference “2021 Bright Start conference Early Years Excellence in Practice”.
