for students entering grades 6-12
In the Robotics Laboratory, students will have the opportunity to work on the construction of robotic models and then program them to perform a variety of tasks. This course consists of several inquiry-based projects, from the development of automated vehicles, building a traffic light model and emulating human motion, that will engage students in basic principles of mechanics, robotic engineering, the use of motors and sensors and the basics of electronic circuits. In addition, through trial & error, students will sharpen their coding skills, as they become more familiar with programming logic and pseudo-language that they use to achieve specific tasks! (This course fulfills 0.5 ACS Athens graduation requirement in Technology).
