Delimarkos, Effie, Head of Development

Effie Delimarkos is the Head of Development at ACS Athens focused on developing and deepening relationships that result in increased resources for ACS Athens so that we can continue providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to improve life and living on the planet.

Effie joined ACS Athens after fulfilling a lifelong dream to move to Greece with her family in 2021. 

She has extensive experience in empowering organizations and brands to achieve their goals through strategic partnerships and communications. Until moving to Greece, Effie served as the Vice President of Communications and Partnerships at the Boy Scouts of America, where she led teams focused on increasing visibility and engagement with Scouting through strategic sponsorships, content marketing, earned and social media. Effie also led high-priority cross-functional initiatives that enhanced the organization’s sustainability.

Throughout her career, Effie has led award-winning initiatives for non-profit, food, energy, healthcare, and retail brands, both in-house at the Boy Scouts of America and Johnson & Johnson, and while working at top-tier agencies in New York and Dallas. Her past clients include Frito-Lay, the Kellogg Company, the Hershey Company, NRG Energy, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Walmart. 

Effie’s deep experience in the corporate and non-profit worlds provides a strong foundation for ACS Athens development initiatives engaging the extensive ACS Athens family and maximizing connections with foundations, corporations, and philanthropists with whom we share a similar vision.

Effie is a graduate of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business. Effie also has a minor in Hellenic Studies, which she focused on while attending NYU in Athens.  

She is also the founder and CEO of Big Wide Blue Communications, a consultancy dedicated to supporting cause-driven brands, organizations, and leaders.
