A proud alumna of ACS Athens, Ms. Artemis Kakaris was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended the school from 2002 until her graduation in 2012. She earned a BA in English and American Literature from the American College of Greece and an MSc in Literature and Modernity from the University of Edinburgh. Certified to teach English (Grades 6–12) in the state of Florida, she has been a member of the ACS Athens faculty since 2019.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, Ms. Kakaris is teaching 6th and 7th Grade English Language Arts. She collaborates closely with co-teachers to ensure curricular alignment and consistency across classes. Over the course of the year, students will explore a variety of literary styles and text types, strengthen their writing fluency and structure, expand their vocabulary, refine their grammar, and develop their creative voice. Students are encouraged to actively participate in discussions, collaborate with peers, and offer constructive feedback to one another.
Ms. Kakaris is passionate about guiding students as they grow into confident, thoughtful communicators and achieve their academic potential.
