(In case that COVID-19 quarantine measures do not allow physical presence, the competition will take place virtually on the same day.)

Information about the Competition

The annual international mathematics competition Kangaroo is the largest educational and most fun competition in the world with over 6.5 million students participating from 70 different countries. 
Greece joined the competition in 2007.  Any student from 2nd grade up to 12th grade can participate.   
There are 6 levels for the competition based on each participant’s grade level:

(Please note that all questions are multiple-choice)

Objectives

The competition aims to promote mathematics as a subject approachable to anyone. 
It promotes creativity, logical thinking and challenges students to approach questions from a different perspective.  
Students will develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

A celebration of Math learning

Every participating student will get a small token of appreciation for their participation regardless of their performance, and a certificate of participation.  
One out of six participants will also receive a symbolic award according to his or her performance.

Registration

To enter the competition, participants are required to register and pay a fee of 12,50 Euros.
This fee covers administrative expenses as well as the cost of tokens and awards given to participants.
To pay the fee, please make a deposit of 12,50 Euros to one of the accounts shown here.
In the payment details please indicate: KANGAROO MATHEMATICS – STUDENT NAME.
Payment of the registration fee must be received by April 23rd, 2021 in order for registration to be complete.
