On the evening of June 20, 2025, the ACS Athens Theater came alive with celebration, pride, and heartfelt reflection as the Academy Class of 2025 graduated in a ceremony presided over by President Dr. Peggy Pelonis.
With family members, faculty, trustees, and friends filling the theater, the ceremony honored not only the academic achievements of this exceptional class but also their spirit of resilience, compassion, and global citizenship.
In her remarks, Dr. Pelonis congratulated the graduates for their perseverance, leadership, and growth during a time of extraordinary global and technological change. “You leave ACS Athens as thinkers, dreamers, and doers—ready to make a difference not only in your careers but in the world,” she said. “And as you do, remember: excellence is not just a goal, it’s a mindset rooted in ethics, humanity, and lifelong learning.”
The evening featured keynote addresses from distinguished speakers Mr. Chris Bletsas, CTO of the MIT Media Lab, and Ms. Mary Olson, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Athens, both of whom inspired graduates to embrace change, stay curious, and lead with integrity.
The ceremony also included touching speeches by student representatives, musical performances, and moments of reflection, culminating in the conferral of diplomas to each graduate—marking a proud transition into adulthood and the next chapter of their journeys.
As the sun set over the ACS Athens campus and caps flew skyward, one thing was clear: the Class of 2025 carries forward not only the knowledge gained within the classroom, but the values and vision to shape a better world.
Congratulations, Class of 2025—onwards and upwards!
