The story of the Intersection club: where Biology meets Psychology: "This Club launches for the first year in ACS Athens, and it was "born" when ACS Athens colleagues and friends Ms. Angela Chamosfakidis and Dr. Elina Prodromidi were discussing the common aspects of the two IB courses they teach, Psychology and Biology respectively.

This Club revolves around the idea of forming an educational experience for the participants, whilst at the same time having fun and putting their skills to the test. The name derives from the concept of the club itself, which is based upon the synapses of knowledge between two sciences, Psychology and Biology. This club is structured in a way where students and their ideas are allowed to flourish and develop, with the guidance of the advisors. Students are given the chance to demonstrate their critical thinking skills, as well as their creativity, to create unique experiences. This year the club has decided to create an escape room from scratch.

The Intersection is thus a great opportunity for people to learn new information, revise certain topics of acquired knowledge, and ultimately bond with their peers or other people.

Participants of the Club, who are ACS Athens students from 9th grade to 12th grade, form four distinct groups as follows: The Communications group focuses on marketing, and advertising our ideas and promote our projects, the Research group focuses on extended informational research; the Action group is responsible for transforming the ideas presented into a reality, and at last, the Organization group is responsible for the set-up, time management and practical details of the task at hand. Nevertheless, all groups together interact in a constructive way to achieve the common goal of the Club.

We would love to have you join us, and partake in this wonderful character-building experience we have designed. As this is still a promising work in progress, we will continue to update you throughout the academic year.

Stay tuned for more!"
