Puhr, Colleen, Academy Academic and College Counselor

Ms. Colleen Puhr grew up in the United States of America and has a strong background in international education. She received her Bachelor’s of Science from Marquette University in Secondary Education and History and her Master’s of Education in International School Counseling from Lehigh University. Ms. Puhr has spent the last 9 years working at international schools, first in Bahrain, then Cameroon, and Bulgaria before moving to Athens this year. For the majority of that time she worked as a teacher of many high school social studies courses including geography, history, psychology, current events, business and more. Additionally Ms. Puhr was Dean of Students for Middle and High school for a year. Before moving to ACS Athens she was a college and career counselor in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Ms. Puhr has always been engaged in the school community through coaching and club supervising. Previously she has coached basketball for several years and supervised a wide variety of clubs, including special interests, tutoring, physical activity and leadership clubs. She looks forward to being a part of the ACS Athens broader community by participating in athletics and extracurricular programming.
