Skampavia, Lydia, Alumni Engagement and Development

Lydia Skampavia is the Fundraising & Alumni Outreach Facilitator. She has served as the Academy Attendance and Alumni Officer in the Academy. Lydia is an alumnus of ACS Athens (Class of 1993). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Management with an emphasis in Marketing and Human Resources Management from Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland. She also earned her Master's Degree in International Business from Webster University. Additionally, she holds a Professional Diploma of Maritime Business with a Major in Chartering from the Hellenic Management Center. Lydia has a diverse and international background, with over 20 years of work experience in the Banking, Shipping, Consulting, Retail, Services, and Education industries.  

In recent years, inspired by her young daughter and her schooling at ACS, Athens, Lydia  transitioned her career to Education. She has been working at ACS Athens, since September 2020 as a Substitute Teacher, mainly in the Middle School.  In the Middle School, she substituted and assisted in courses such as Social Studies, Art, Math, Drama, and Advisory.  In Elementary School she substituted in OLP, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade.  She also assisted in the Elementary Library.  In the Academy, she substituted for courses such as IB Economics, Art, and American Studies - Literature & History.  

Working with the students at ACS Athens has been for her the most fulfilling experience of all.  She aims to discover new learning paths for the children and continue teaching at ACS. She is passionate about Art, History, and the English language.  She strongly believes that a healthy education at a young age is the core foundation of our society and our future.

Lydia is very excited and enthusiastic to be back at ACS, Athens, and to have the opportunity to contribute to the school and its community.
