Ms. Thoma holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Environmental Physics & Meteorology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). While enrolled in the Bachelor’s Program, she carried out an Internship at the Hellenic National Meteorological Service where she had the opportunity to dive deeper into the various aspects of weather forecasting, including the methodology of data collection and processing.

Ms. Thoma has been in education for more than fifteen years, since her early academic years, teaching Physics and Mathematics at all levels. She also has experience in the IB Diploma courses of Mathematics and Physics.

She has been a member of ACS Athens since October 2020. This will be her second year teaching Math 6 and Pre-Algebra 7. In previous years, she taught Physics 1 in High School and had an assisting role in the Academy’s Math class “Geometry with Algebraic topics”. Also, she held the role of a permanent substitute teacher and worked as a Math/Science studio assistant, providing support to students with varying skill levels and individual needs in both High school and Middle school Mathematics and Science classes. Moreover, she was a long-term substitute teacher in Middle school, teaching all the science classes for several months. In addition, she has co-organized and co-taught the “Mad Scientists” course in the 2021 Summer Camp.
