Orgianopoulou, Maria, Faculty, Greek Language

Mary Orgianopoulou holds a Bachelor's Degree in Greek Philology, with a major in Greek Language and Byzantine Literature, from the Democritus University of Thrace. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, she is pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Special Education, focusing on supporting students with oral and written language difficulties.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and educational excellence, Ms. Orgianopoulou has participated in numerous trainings and seminars on teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language. Her teaching journey began in Athens and Samos, where she worked with refugees and immigrants through NGO-funded programs, offering language as a bridge to integration and opportunity.
Now in her sixth year at ACS Athens, Ms. Orgianopoulou teaches Greek to Elementary School students and continues her involvement in the Greek Isotimia Program, as well as the Youth-to-Youth Program. She has also contributed to international projects such as the Cultural Diversity Day on the Metaverse, a collaborative initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in partnership with Hisar School in Istanbul. In 2025, she enriched her professional expertise by attending the Conference on Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language, organized by the Greek Language Institute.
Additionally, Ms. Orgianopoulou serves as an official examiner for Greek Citizenship on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
