DiVecchia, Adriana, Faculty, 3rd Grade

Ms. DiVecchia grew up about thirty minutes outside of Washington DC in Northern Virginia. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chapman University with a BA in Dance and a BA in Integrated Educational Studies. She went on to obtain her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University the following year. Ms. DiVecchia's thesis project for her Master's program was focused on how to cultivate a learning environment that promotes deeper learning. Ms. DiVecchia spent the last three years teaching upper elementary grades in Northern Virginia. She has extensive experience teaching students from all over the world, and students who are learning English as a second language. In addition to being licensed for elementary education PK-6, she is licensed to teach ESL for PK-12. Ms. DiVecchia enjoys integrating her dance background into the classroom to promote the arts and enrich learning experiences for students.

Ms. DiVecchia has attended several conferences and training on how to utilize personalized learning and culturally responsive teaching. She has several educational technology certifications including Kahoot, Edpuzzle, and Quizizz. She is so excited to join the third grade team and the ACS community as a whole!
