Armodorou, Andriana, Academy OLP Specialist

Ms. Armodorou holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from Middlesex University, London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Plymouth, UK. As part of her academic training, she completed placements at Edgware Hospital in London, where she worked as an advisor, and at the National Center for Young People with Epilepsy in Surrey, supporting young individuals with epilepsy and related conditions.

She became a member of the ACS Athens community in October 2019. Her first role was as an OLP Testing Supervisor, ensuring that accommodations were properly implemented for students during assessments. She later transitioned to the position of OLP Aide, working closely with Middle and High School students in the full support program to help them achieve their academic goals and grow in independence. Since 2023, Ms. Armodorou has served as the OLP Academy Specialist, a role she is now fulfilling in her second year. In this capacity, she provides targeted academic and organizational support to Academy students through full support classes, consultations, and the design of Individual Support Plans. Her work also includes running reading intervention programs, developing writing strategies, and building study and organizational skills to promote student success.

Before joining ACS Athens, Ms. Armodorou worked at Broadfields Primary School in London as a Specialist Unqualified Teacher in a provision for children with Autism within a mainstream setting. There, she provided psychological and emotional support, introduced Reverse Inclusion activities, initiated Autism Awareness projects, and designed sensory-friendly, theme-based programs to help students feel safe and regulated. She also incorporated dance and improvisation into the curriculum and delivered sessions using Makaton sign language.

Additionally, Ms. Armodorou gained experience at Annunciation Catholic Infant School in London, where she supported mainstream children with learning, emotional, and speech/language needs. Her professional journey reflects a strong dedication to empowering students academically, socially, and emotionally.
