In the spirit of giving and embracing the true meaning of the holidays, ACS Athens 11th grade students Aristeidis Sarkgisian and Spyros Polites, have brought the magic of the season to life with their heartwarming initiative, “The Angel Tree.”
Devoted to ensuring every child experiences the joy of Christmas morning, these compassionate students adorned a Christmas tree with 100 paper angels, each bearing the name and gift suggestion for a child in need.
The response from the ACS Athens community has been nothing short of incredible. In just two hours, the tree, located in the heart of the Academy building’s main hallway, saw every single angel whisked away by eager students, dedicated faculty, and supportive staff. The transformative power of collective generosity and goodwill has turned this tree into a symbol of hope and compassion.
In the midst of the hustle and bustle of daily life, the Angel Tree stands as a reminder that, indeed, there are angels among us. ACS Athens continues to foster a culture of kindness and giving, and as we watch the gifts accumulate beneath the tree, let us reflect on the profound impact each small act of generosity can have on someone's life. May the warmth and joy radiating from this initiative inspire us all to carry the spirit of giving into the new year and beyond. Wishing everyone a heartwarming and joyous holiday season!
