"The Honor Code Club Padlet of Gratitude: The ACS Athens Middle Scool Honor Code Club meets every Friday to discuss ways through which we can make our community a better place to be in.
Our discussions pertain to principles and values such as respect, integrity, and resilience and how we can consciously practice these values every single day of our lives.
Thanksgiving is a holiday for appreciation. During these turbulent times, in a world where nothing can be taken for granted, in a world where people have to fight for inalienable human rights, such as education, now, more than ever, Thanksgiving is a holiday for reflection.
It is an opportunity to remember how blessed we are for having a home, a family, food on our table, good friends to talk to, or play with, and, especially these days, good health; it is a time to appreciate the fact that our education has not been disrupted, ceased or put in the back burner.
Therefore, during this lockdown, the Middle School Honor Code Club initiated a padlet on which all ACS Athens family members could contribute with a statement about what they are grateful for and why.
The result was beautiful - click here for the Honor Code Club padlet.
Thank you all for your contributions; Thank you all for your support! We are ACS Family!"
