ACS Athens faculty, Danai Papaioannou, was interviewed by "Ladylike" online magazine as one of the dynamic women behind TEDxAthens, on this year’s International Women’s Day.

Ms. Papaioannou is head of the Ticketing team of TEDxAthens and shared her passion about her profession as Optimal Learning Program Specialist at ACS Athens, her views regarding the role of women in today’s society and her invaluable experience as part of TEDxAthens team.

“Most women today believe in feminism, not as a battle against men, rather than as a fight for equal rights for all. They know that every single one of us is responsible for acquiring knowledge, for overturning prejudice and for taking action”, she quotes.

Regarding her involvement in TEDxAthens she points out: “Volunteering and paid work is a significant educational experience that cannot be acquired at school or in books.  Volunteering has taught me to listen actively, to give time and opportunities to others.”
