ACS Athens alum AJ Ginnis is about to make history once again—this time, not on the slopes, but as the first torchbearer at the Flame Lighting Ceremony in Ancient Olympia for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Before becoming an international alpine skiing star, AJ was a familiar face at ACS Athens. As a proud Lancer, he played volleyball, basketball, and ran track, showing the same drive, discipline, and sportsmanship that still define him today.
In 2023, AJ made history as the first Greek skier to win a silver medal at the Alpine Skiing World Championships—an achievement that brought him global recognition and made Greece proud. Now, he's reaching another remarkable milestone in his journey.
On November 26, 2025, AJ will literally light the way for the Winter Olympic Games, carrying the torch at the start of the Olympic Flame’s journey. This inspiring moment honors his strong roots and international journey—carrying a flame that symbolizes unity, peace, and excellence in sport.
Looking ahead to February 2026, AJ will proudly represent Team Greece at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan. As he prepares for this incredible moment, he continues to inspire a new generation of athletes—especially those now walking the same halls he once did at ACS Athens.
We’re proud to be part of AJ’s journey celebrating him not just as a champion on the slopes, but as a shining example of the values we hold dear: excellence, resilience, and global citizenship.
