Haykel, Aya, Faculty, Science Lab

Aya Haykel completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. Ms. Haykel completed her Teaching Diploma in Biology at the University of Balamand. Ms. Haykel completed her teaching preparation practicum in grade 4 at SABIS International Schools in collaboration with the University of West Florida. Aya is an ACS alumnus who attended from 7th to 12th grade. Aya was an active member of the ACS community who took part in a variety of sports, including swimming and volleyball. 

Ms. Haykel has always had a passion for children, and she first started teaching back in 2014 at SABIS International Schools in Lebanon. She stayed within the same institution for eight years, where she taught all grade levels ranging from Junior Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 5. In 2021, Ms. Haykel relocated to the United Arab Emirates, working for the same school, where she taught grades 2 through 5 Science. 

Aya is a devoted, committed, and versatile teacher with an effective, positive, and flexible teaching style. Being an active team player and willing to work beyond the call of duty, she is well versed in using social skills and empathy to manage student behavior. Her goal as an educator is to empower students to become architects of their own learning by promoting creativity and high-order thinking abilities.
