Mary Orgianopoulou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Greek Philology with a major in Greek Language and Byzantine Literature from the Democritus University of Thrace and a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. This year she has started a second master in Special Education for People with Oral and Written Language Difficulties. Ms. Orgianopoulou has attended various trainings and seminars related to the approach of teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign language.
Ms. Orgianopoulou began teaching the Greek language to refugees and immigrants in Athens and in Samos by funded NGOs. This is her fourth year in the ACS community, and she will be teaching Greek to students of all grades. Ms. Orgianopoulou will continue teaching the Greek Isotimia Program at ACS Athens and the Greek class for the Youth-to-Youth Program. She has taken part in the Cultural Diversity Day project on Metaverse, a collaboration about SDG's between ACS and Hisar School in Istanbul. Ms. Mary Orgianopoulou also serves as an examiner for Greek Citizenship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
