Course description

Separated into two parts, each consisting of 8 week sessions. Must be taken in sequence.

(Beginners-Intermediate)

This is an online Greek course for learners who have basic knowledge of Greek. This course aims to familiarize students with the most popular Greek myths and learn basic expressions used in dialogues in Greek Language through activities supported by educational tech tools. The texts focus on mythology while additional material encourages students to gain a better understanding of the language, and communicate on an everyday basis. Students are taught to read in order to be able to recognize written Greek verbal and written language skills through different assignments. Basic grammatical structures are taught through simple dialogues and phrases, and a review of grammar and verbs supports the study of the language. Students are encouraged to create their own dialogues and to use their Greek outside the virtual class.

  • Fall 2023: Starting week of October 2nd, 2023 to week of November 20th, 2023

  • Winter 2024: Starting week of Feb 12th , 2024 to week of April 1st, 2024

  • Spring 2024: Starting week of April 8th 2024 to week of June 3rd, 2024

If enrollment in a course fails to reach the minimum number of participants required for the class to run, the class will be cancelled and tuition will be reimbursed.
