Discover ACS Athens IB Diploma and Academy Gateway Programs

ACS Athens presents the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and the Academy Gateway Summer Program in an open forum on February 9, 2010, 7pm at the ACS Athens Academy Library building . The event is open to the public and is intended for students and their families interested in joining the ACS Athens community of international students (Grades 9-10).

ACS Athens presents its Adult Education & Arts Academy Programs for 2010

ACS Athens Institute for Critical and Creative Thinking (ICCT) announces the Adult Education Program for adults and the Arts Academy Program for high and middle school students that will run from February to May 2010. This year, the programs include courses in foreign languages, yoga, Photoshop®, drawing, creative writing and many more.

ACS Athens names its elementary library “Hasib Sabbagh Library” in memory of the “Citizen of the World”

One of the world’s most prominent businessmen and philanthropists, Hasib Sabbagh, passed away on January 12, 2010. With the passing of Hasib Sabbagh, the entire world has lost a father figure and a great peace maker.

The Board of Trustees and the entire community of ACS Athens offer their deepest condolences to Hasib Sabbagh's family and to the entire Palestinian community for the loss of such a figure by naming the library of the elementary school "Hasib Sabbagh Library" as a sign of respect and appreciation for the support and dedication of the deceased to the International Education.

ACS Athens explores ancient Athens and modern Paris

ACS Athens Institute for Critical & Creative Thinking Arts Academy presents Classicism & Romanticism in French Art & Thought: An Online Course and Study Experience.

This 10-week course, (February 15 - April 25, 2010) has been created by the instructors, Ms. Jasonides and Ms. Karvouniaris, as an opportunity for an international group of students to research and study first hand the influence of Classical Greek civilization on European art and thought in the 18th to 20th centuries.
