On November 20, 2010 — Universal Children’s Day — TEDx organizers across the globe will host events for (and by) young people. These events will vary widely in size, format and theme, but they will share a common vision: inspiring curiosity, igniting new ideas, empowering young leaders.
TEDxYouth@ACSAthens* is focused on ‘Honoring the Idea’.
Our goal is to empower the youth to be driven by their own curiosity, which will take them on a passion-filled journey to arrive at big dreams. Being at an international school, students are exposed to various cultures, religions, and traditions. We believe that this open portal of experiences can lead to the development of creative ideas and the collective genius that often leads to significant global changes.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx programs are local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The 'x'=independently organized TED event.
At TEDxYouth@ACSAthens, we will combine TEDTalk videos and live speakers to spark critical thought and deep discussions.
Join us at 11AM on Saturday, November 20th, 2010, for Athens' first TEDxYouthDay event -- TEDxYouth@ACSAthens!
