On a sunny morning filled with pride and promise, ACS Athens celebrated the 8th Grade Class of 2025 as they completed their middle school journey and prepared to enter high school.
The ceremony was highlighted by a powerful speech from ACS Athens President, Dr. Peggy Pelonis, who described middle school as a bridge — a place of discovery, challenge, and personal growth.

Principals Mike Embrock and Matina Stergiopoulos presented the students to the president.
Guest speaker, Anthony Papadimitriou, President of the Onassis Foundation, was welcomed to the stage. Mr. Papadimitriou has earned numerous accolades, including being named as the coordinator of the Executive Committee of the Onassis Group commercial activities since 1995.
As students and families celebrated together, the day marked not just an ending, but a beginning. The Academy chapter awaits — and our students are more than ready.
