The MARCH 2013 issue of the PTO's S.H.A.R.E. newsletter has arrived !

This issue brings us  many  events, both fun and educational  :

The seminar called Brain Plasticity; one of many successful workshops in the Partnership for Student Success series, will take place Thursday, March 28, 2013.  Presenter Ms. Kathy Horafas will explain how the brain changes and adapts, its mechanisms and its limitations and what this means for us, parents.  RSVP is required - see details in the newsletter.

A Mexican cuisine Cooking class with Betsy Smith - which will lead to a nice Mexican lunch!  (Wednesday, March 27 at 10:30 am.).  The class is limited to 10 persons; donation of € 10 is required to offset costs...)

Also upcoming  this month, we have :

Zombie Walk on the Streets of Athens, on Saturday March 16.

Mom's Night-Out, on April 4 and much much more...

Finally the next PTO General Meeting will be on April 9.

Dear ACS Athens community:

The FEBRUARY 2013 issue of the PTO's  S.H.A.R.E. newsletter has arrived !

This  issue contains a number of events, both fun and educational - here's a sample :

A seminar for : Rational Parenting; one of many successful workshops in the Partnership for Student Success series.  Presenter Ms. Chrysoula Kostoyiannis will demonstrate techniques for dealing with the (sometimes) difficult teenagers.   RSVP is required - details in the newsletter.

A Tex-Mex Mom's Night Out at Santa-Fe Restaurant in Halandri   (February 28).  (Persons pay what they consume...)

Also upcoming  this month, we have :

Stitching Get-Together(s); Weekend Hikes (Volunteers needed to lead); Cooking classes and The Art of Flowers workshop (details to be announced).

A very important event approaching is the Teachers and Staff Appreciation Week starting on March 19.

Finally the next PTO General Meeting will be on March 12.

Dear ACS Athens community:

The November 2012 issue of the PTO's  S.H.A.R.E. newsletter is once again, here !

The latest issue reminds us that Holiday Season is approaching so, many of the events, have a Thanksgiving / Christmas feel to them - here's a few of them :

A seminar for : Stress Management combined with Study Skills, and a number of Adult classes (everything from CPR and First Aid to Zumba, Pilates and Art Abstraction...).

The Turkey Bowl celebration  (November 17) is a long awaited event, complete with a potluck lunch; this  is the second year we organize it and everyone is very exciting about it.

The Wine Social (on the 13th) : will bring us all (parents, faculty, staff) together for a relaxed afternoon and an opportunity to share our concerns, ideas and hopes... just before the General Meeting that follows (at 6 pm.)!
