The school's Accreditations and Affiliations are numerous: ACS Athens is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools and is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to offer the IB Diploma Program.  

In 2012, ACS Athens was approved to use the Sustaining Excellence Protocol, making it the first international school considered for re-accreditation with this top level protocol!

With a very international and diverse culture - our student body is represented by over 60 countries - roughly divided equally among U.S., Greek and other nationals.

The language used in classrooms and in all communication is English; Greek is taught as a foreign language along with Arabic, French, German, Mandarin and Spanish.

Our Faculty is equally international and most hold a post graduate degree (Masters and Doctorates), have been through specialized training and have many years of experience; this, combined with a very high teacher to student ratio ensures a top level educational experience.

ACS Athens is a not-for profit, Board of Trustees governed organization : The Board of Trustees is a permanent, policy leadership body involved with strategic planning, advocacy and oversight of the school.

Additionally, an Advisory Council serves as a body of experts to the school’s governance and leadership, providing a connection between ACS Athens and current trends that can impact school policy, programs and teaching and learning practices.
