Sonia Kormaris was raised in Cyprus and in Greece (Kastoria, Thessaloniki, Giannitsa, Samos, Patra and Athens). She was born in Corfu. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies (Ancient and Modern Greek Literature and Latin) from The National Capodistrian University of Athens and she is currently following an MBA at the University of Indianapolis.
She has been a faculty member at ACS Athens since 1997 teaching Greek and mainly Greek Pre IB and Greek IB A1 /A2 classes. She has been Greek Coordinator and since 2008 Greek Department Head. She is an approved member of Validation Team in Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
