John Papadakis, Director of Enrollment, Communications & Technology
John Papadakis is the Director of Enrollment, Communications & Technology at ACS Athens. After 14 years in the United States, where he served American K-12 education in different capacities as teacher, tutor, and administrator, he returned to Greece.
His studies in the US included an associate degree in electronics engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Electronic Media. He has extensive experience in radio/TV production and has worked as an editor/staff writer in a weekly ethnic newspaper based in Chicago, IL. Mr. Papadakis was the Director of Communications of the Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) – North and South America Region, based in Chicago, from 1995-2001, covering and promoting the activities of the ethnic Greek community on the American continent.
Personal business ventures include a TV satellite company representing Dish Network and Greek TV channels in the Midwest; a weekly radio program promoting the activities of the Greek American community; and business consulting services to organizations and businesses in the Chicagoland area. After his arrival in Athens in 2001, he was involved in technology as a training consultant and as a project manager in new media related projects (e-commerce, online Content Management Systems, web 2.0, etc.). Currently, he completes his MBA studies at the University of Indianapolis, Athens Campus.

Leo Alexandropoulos, Web & Content Administrator
Leo Alexandropoulos was born in Athens and has lived as a child & adult in the U.S. and elsewhere in Europe.
His studies include a B.Sc. in Mathematics / Computer Science (University of Patras); an M.Sc. in Computing & Information Sciences (Oklahoma State University); classes at the University of California at Berkeley, etc.
He worked as a software engineer for Greek and European projects. From 1994 to 2003 he lived in San Francisco where he worked in software technology companies, primarily in the areas of telecommunications / network management systems, security, etc. After an engagement at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games (as a Technology Project Manager), he moved to New York where he worked in Business Development / Marketing / Management and was a partner in a company (importer, wholesaler of architectural aluminum products).
He enjoys mountain biking (off road if possible), Tai chi practice and obscure music.

Valerie Alexopoulos, Communications Officer
Ms. Alexopoulos is a new addition to the ACS team, joining the school in 2012. She is a Greek-American native of Chicago, IL. She has earned two graduate degrees, both with honors. Her Master of Business Administration degree was completed at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her M.Sc. in Marketing at The American College of Greece - DEREE. She has 15 years work experience with industry leaders in both in the United States and Greece and in diverse fields including retail management, project management, education and marketing.

Vicky Anagnostopoulou, Information Technology Specialist
Ms. Anagnostopoulou was born in Sydney, Australia and raised in Athens, Greece. She has worked within the Computer Department for the past 18 years. She completed her degree in Computer Information Systems at Deree College, Athens. She also maintains abreast of current IT advancements through Microsoft and other networking seminars.

Jim Koulyras, AV Specialist
Mr. Koulyras is the Audio Visual Specialist/Technician JK through 12TH grade.
He holds a Diploma in Survey Engineering from the Sydney Institute of Technology, Australia. He worked in Australia for a year as an engineer in land development before coming to Greece.
Mr. Koulyras has been at ACS for thirty years providing Audio Visual services to faculty and students along with new technologies in the classroom.

Marinos Makris, IT / Network Support
Marinos Makris is a specialist on networking industry technologies including Microsoft Networks, Cisco Networking and IBM Systems. He has been occupied in the IT Industry since 2005. He has worked for IBM Hellas, on the ITS Department for 3 years.

Mary Manos, IT Intranet Systems Manager
Ms. Manos was born and raised in New York City/Athens. She earned her BA in Sociology from Montclair State University – New Jersey.
She has worked with the Computer Department for the past 23 years and is the NVS (NESA Virtual School) System Administrator for Moodle. She attends the annual NESA conferences for IT Intranet Administrators.
Ms. Manos is an alumnus and parent at ACS Athens.

Frances Tottas, Admissions Officer
Ms. Tottas is the Admissions Officer at ACS Athens Academy. She holds her B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Ms. Tottas has been at ACS Athens for twenty four years.
At ACS Athens she has held the following positions: Business Office, Elementary School Clerk, Middle School Principals Secretary, Academy/Middle School Building Secretary. Frances is also an alumni of ACS Athens. She graduated from ACS Athens in 1982 having attended from 1980-1982.
