Second Graders are inspired by Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss created famous quotes such as"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." The students researched Dr. Seuss quotes and put together a certificate, story or book of their own.

Second Graders write a guide to getting Good Grades

In Dr. Seuss' "Oh the Places You Will Go"; the most popular line is "Will you succeed? Yes, you will indeed." After reading this book, the students created a "Guide to getting Good Grades" pamphlet in a rhyming text.

Second Graders discussed what it takes to be a good friend and what the traits are that good friends have.

Second Graders write about African animals

While second graders were learning all about Africa's culture, land regions, and its many different countries, students researched their favorite African animal and composed an expository essay to show their knowledge.

Katherine Demetroulis' essay is about the African Monkey.


Second Graders learn about using Directions to get somewhere!

Can you follow directions? The students learned how to get to the ice cream store, the amusement park and to the candy store... Come and visit their neighborhoods! They always have fun and now they know where to make a left turn.
