Renee Koutras, an ACS Athens graduate, has a BA in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She earned her Masters in Public Health, concentration in Behavioral Health, from the University of South Florida. During this time she completed a literature review entitled An Extensive Review of the Treatment Approaches Available for Battling an Eating Disorder. She has also completed a Graduate Certificate Program in Learning Support/Special Education through George Mason University. Ms. Koutras is currently a student at Walden University, working towards a MS in Mental Health Counseling.
Ms. Koutras has attended various international conferences including the Renfrew Center’s 15th Annual conference, the European Branch of the American Association’s Annual Conference, and several of ACS Athens Annual Learning Differences Conferences. She began her career teaching in the Optimal Match Department for ACS Athens. She has also taught and aided in curriculum development for health and research classes. Presently, Ms. Koutras works one to one with children who have learning differences or behavior difficulties. This is her fifth year teaching. She is also an intern in the Elementary School Counseling Department here at ACS Athens.
