Administration and Supporting Staff
Helen Maravegias began her career at ACS Athens in November of 1980 in the Principal’s Office of the Academy. During that time, she enjoyed working with talented administrators, faculty, staff and students. In 1990 she assumed the position of Assistant to the President and has held this position since then.
Ms. Maravegias was educated in the United States and has her degree from the Berkeley School of Business in New York City. Her work skills and ethics have guided her throughout her years at ACS Athens with great success.
Ms. Maravegias is married and has two daughters, both graduates of ACS Athens.
Ms. Alexopoulos is Coordinator, Special Projects and Public Affairs for the Institute of Innovation & Creativity and Office of the President. She first joined the the ACS Athens team in 2012. She is a Greek-American native of Chicago, IL. Ms. Alexopoulos has earned two graduate degrees, both with honors. Her Master of Business Administration degree was completed at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her M.Sc. in Marketing at The American College of Greece - DEREE. She has 15 years work experience with industry leaders in both in the United States and Greece and in diverse fields including retail management, project management, education and marketing.
Ioannis Exarchou was born and raised in Athens. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He continued his studies at the same university at postgraduate level and in 2006, he earned a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Economics with distinction.
He has gained experience as a Credit Officer at major banks, as Accountant at an Insurance Company and as an Accounting Manager at a Law firm.
Ms. Kordolaimi was born and raised in Athens. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, where she had the opportunity to work on various assignments on topics like advertising, accounting, market research, human resources and more. In addition she studied abroad for one semester, in Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, as a part of a student exchange program (Socrates-Erasmus).
In 2014 she completed her Master in Business Administration (Executive MBA) from University of Piraeus, while working at ACS Athens at the same time.
She has been with the ACS Athens family since July 2009.
Andreas Vangelatos was born in Poros, Kefalonia. He began working at ACS Athens in 1981. He studied Public Administration in Panteion Panepistimio.
In 1998 he assumed the position of Payroll Officer in Administration and has held the position since then.
Mr. Vangelatos is married and has two children. He is president of the Federation of employees of ACS Athens since 2009.
Ms. Vassiliadis earned her B.Sc. in Broadcasting and Communications from the University of Florida, USA.
For 23 years Ms. Vassiliadis freelanced in the film industry, both in the United States and Greece, predominately in television commercial production and feature films.
During this time, Ms. Vassiliadis also worked in event planning for various international projects, including World Track and Field, World Basketball and multiple company incentive events. For twelve of those years she was the representative in Greece for Caravan Tours, Inc., (an American travel company), running their ground operations for incoming tourism.
Her last active media-related project was with NBC TV, during the 2004 Olympics, where she received an EMMY Award for “Technical Supervision of an Outstanding Live Event Turnaround.”
Ms. Vassiliadis joined ACS Athens in 2008. She has worked in the Student Affairs department, with the Optimal Learning Program, and has been the coordinator of six ACS Athens Conferences on Learning Differences.
Currently, Ms. Vassiliadis is the Communications Officer at ACS Athens. She is an Alumna of ACS Athens, class of 1978.
Ms. Anna Velivasaki has been at ACS Athens since 2009. She holds a BA in English Literature and in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a MA in Communications and Media from the University of Indianapolis. Anna has worked at ACS Athens in various positions serving the Department of Communications and Public Relations, the Office of Student Affairs as well as the Human Resources Department.
Anna has more than 17 years of working and teaching experience in the United States and in Greece including teaching English and Greek as foreign languages, working in Medical centers in Queens and Brooklyn, in private educational institutions in Greece and being involved in many community service projects and events through the Beasley School of Law and the Department of Criminal Justice of Temple University. Anna has also worked as a volunteer in various non-profit organizations both in the United States as an undergraduate student and in Greece as a professional.
Currently, Anna is the Human Resources Officer at ACS Athens.
Ms. Vogopoulou was born in Arta, and raised in Athens. She graduated from Athens University – School of Business and Economics - in 2003, with a B.A. in International Economics Studies. She has also completed a year of economic studies abroad , as part of Erasmus Exchange Programme of students at Kent University of UK.
She worked as an accountant and administrative assistant at various firms. In 2005 she worked for two years as junior Auditor to an auditing firm and in 2007 she joined ACS Athens.
