Inaugural Meeting, November 8, 2018
The ISCI Inaugural meeting was held on November 8, 2018 at ACS Athens. The Council is comprised of 13 prominent educators in renowned secondary and higher education institutions and distinguished professionals and business executives. ACS Athens reached out to leaders in different professional areas who share the school’s mission and vision and have expressed a desire to help the school become a better K-12 academic institution by sharing their insight, wisdom, and expertise with the ACS Athens community.
As members of the ISCI Advisory Council, they have agreed to:
Participate in the Advisory Council Meetings
Share important trends in their fields with the ACS Athens community
Advise the school on potential challenges related to implementing innovative programs.
Provide networking opportunities with relevant experts in the field that can serve as project mentors to the students
Advise on modern technologies that have successfully applied in their field
Recommend workshop presenters in a variety of fields
Offer strategic guidance, on major initiatives

The closing ceremony included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ACS Athens and the Hisar School in Istanbul Turkey by the President of ACS Athens, Dr. Stefanos Gialamas and the Headmaster of Hisar School, Dr. Gülay Barbarosoglu. This collaboration promises to enrich the faculty as well as the students from both educational institutions, in a variety of educational opportunities in the future.
