Course description
This course focuses on developing language skills for basic, intermediate level students of English. Language development is combined with building media literacy and sharpening skills that will be transferable to core academic subjects. Vocabulary building and fundamental grammar concepts involving the application of basic grammar tenses in speaking and writing are consolidated in combination with fiction and non-fiction reading comprehension, as well as personal and narrative writing. Emphasis is placed on the writing process while listening and viewing activities are incorporated throughout. The course corresponds to the B1 level of CEFR.
